Where the hell did people even get the idea that his name was “Clippy”? I used MS Office extensively in the 90s; his name was always Clipit.
This shit is almost as bad as dead naming a trans person.
Its just one of those things that were a different name just sounds better, it’s like the Berenstein/Berenstain Bear thing.
