Games@lemmy.world•Hollow Knight: Silksong Sparks Debate About Difficulty and Boss RunbacksEnglish
312·2 months agoI’m loving it, and the runbacks and difficulty just feel like standard metroidvania to me. Yeah, it takes time and caution, but that’s just the genre.

411·2 months agoThe new Online Safety Act over there. They make you scan your face and follow instructions (step forward, turn left, open your mouth, etc.) to access a lot of websites now. It’s creepy, and something similar seems to be being pushed in every western country simultaneously now.

3·2 months agoThere’s someone who goes by “IRL Loading Screens” who makes these. They’re on reddit, X, IG, etc.
I try to save them when I see them, however I think that was the last one in my “memes for lemmy” folder for the time being.

Technology@lemmy.world•Protest footage blocked as online safety act comes into forceEnglish
45·2 months agoWhat is happening in the UK in the last year or so? I keep seeing crazy headlines like this every so often.
The online safety act requiring ID, police showing up at old people’s houses for their Facebook/twitter posts, or that one time someone suggested they would try to extradite Americans for the same thing. Where is this coming from all of a sudden?
