  • Thank you. I was mostly worried about running 5 screens at all times. Every mirror replacement system I’ve seen in pictures uses really bright screens and the E has 3 infotainment screens on top of that.

So if we count them as 5W each (12.3 main displays are probably hungrier, but camera displays are way smaller, and they’re almost certainly IPS), that’s ~25W, so 150 meters by your calculation? Doesn’t sound that bad tbh. And on top of that the 12.3" ones can be turned off.

  • The article is great, it’s just the poster writing unrelated fanfiction (a small portion tbh) underneath lol

edit: they actually just took some parts from the article and paraphrased it, who does that, it’s not a school essay where you have to hit a total word target

    spoiler

For example, about H-6 from the article:

It is still unclear what this missile could be—if it exists at all. Therefore, we continue to assess that, although China might have developed warhead designs for potential use in cruise missiles, it currently has no nuclear cruise missiles in its active stockpile. It is possible, but unconfirmed, that the future H-20 could be equipped with a nuclear cruise missile.

Also, why would the H-6N be modified? The ballistic missiles this article mentions by designation were adapted from ship-based ones.
And the N variant is specifically made for ballistic weapons. They might carry nuke tipped CJ-10, but that’s not a new cruise missile nor limited to H-6N variants.
Just seems like unproven filler text at best.

  • It’s not exclusive to any one group. The main problem here is they’re engaging (allegedly) in good faith - using a lot of publicity from widely known people, posting updates, showing their heading etc. Meanwhile their opponent does not give a shit about acting in good faith.

Kinda like trying to talk sense into someone who’s only interested in beating you up and will never change their mind about it.

For some reason they either refuse to accept the fact that they won’t be treated fairly, so they keep trying to do stuff by the book (doesn’t work against liars). Or maybe they were just trying to get some publicity, and in turn inspire more attempts. Idk, I’m not them.
I am pretty sure they expected it to go south. But hey, at least they can say they tried. Perhaps that was the goal - to try.

  • The discussion was about accidental presses, that’s a problem that is non-existent for 99% of people because they use a case (to protect the phone from drops bc it’s glass). Glass screens are afraid of drops, but most people prefer that to plastic that scratches really easily. I’d rather not go back to plastic screens.

If you want, you can buy a drop-resistant phone with thick bezels and extra padding already included. XR21 for example, or whatever unihertz is doing. Plenty of phones have started doing grippy panels too.
