My dad used to live in the country, and a single cow got into a semi-abandoned old ranch hand house. (We assume some one left the door open. It was in there for a day or so.
That cow absolutely wrecked the place. Walls kicked in, windows smashed (frame and all), floors ripped up, table in 2 pieces, just an absolute disaster. Also, the poop.
So. ONE COW. If unsupervised.

So, the “guy with amnesia”, “orphan kid”, “dude in a foreign land”, “time traveler”, “new person in the organization”, “certain types of isekai” tropes all exist to tell a story where the reader/viewer get to learn as they go.
Fairly popular in historical fiction, fantasy, and many other genera.
It makes “Shogun”, “The Last Samurai”, “Marco Polo”, “Big Trouble in Little China”, and others like them more accessible to “Western” aka “white guy” demographics.
I don’t really see an issue with it, when done well.

It’s ok. They still have enough lone Luigi’s if they are willing to make the sacrifice to chop a few heads off the hydra. Just need the kids to take up hobbies like 3D printing and drones, if they won’t get to the gun range enough.

I still keep playing it…
If you yearn for complex space logistics with some first person space combat sprinkled on top, and can tolerate obtuse mechanics and some bugs, it’s quite fun.
More like, if you purchased an electric clipper, and it wirelessly sent a message to the company every time you used it, to let them know how long and where you’re using it.
They already have purchase info, they don’t need usage info. At least not for free with out the consent or knowledge of the customer.
