trolololol@lemmy.worldto Ask Lemmy@lemmy.world•What’s an unspoken rule that absolutely everyone should know, but most people clearly don’t?2·21 days agoI used to use same rule when riding bike in paved roads with no side walk.
I’m going to laugh in Java, where this has always been possible and reliable. Not like ai reliable, but expert reliable. Because of static types.

Just be yourself, be kind to others and move on.

Sounds like someone already won in life and could retire at birth (owners class) then got punished by having to show up every once in a while to “make laws”.
trolololol@lemmy.worldto Lemmy.World Announcements@lemmy.world•Lemmy needs more donations344·2 months agoI’ve made my donation today for the first time.
I find it helpful that we have been keeping people full time, funded by donations. I would hope this model grows, expanding into for example specific features getting their own bucket of money, as we can voice our support for things that can get lost in a backlog.
I’m not sure I’ve seen how to contribute the old way, by donating time and performing tasks. Not my case, but how would someone get started on that?

Well mate I’m sorry to say you just funded a new philosophy school AND a new religion called shiny teeth.
Jokes apart, I agree 100 with you and the concept that only the person themselves can decide what is the purpose of their life. And 11 out of 10 times it won’t make sense to anyone else, so no point in taking it too seriously.

Oh is that why I shouldn’t have 2 different plants in the same pot?
Sometimes I take too long to weed out things such as grass or clover from pots, and it seems to have bad effects on the plants closer to them while the same ones further down the pot go better. Other combinations of flowers also don’t go well. I’m suspecting purple chalibrachoas suffocate the yellow and red ones, for example.
I’m in a town house with a shared garage. Unlocked valuables are guaranteed to get stolen within days.
trolololol@lemmy.worldOPto Dull Men's Club@lemmy.world•Yesterday instead of biking I went for a walk7·2 months agoSorry in any case it breaks the rules lol
Next time I’ll make sure to only play scales and boring music. No rock and roll, no sir 🤣
I wish I wasn’t serious. Going into garage, unlocking and then putting it back takes significant time I don’t have. So I went for a walk yesterday.
Any app can be a bloated web page with or without pwa.
Instant apps were a really cool concept that never got traction because documentation was negative - those cases where every single bit of information you find, most of it is outdated and the updated one, if exists, is not to be found.
Many times since the beta release I had discussions about these, and I’ve known people seasoned in Android native trying to pull off a basic proof of concept and unable to get started.
