The worst part is that you get used to it.
My youngest is now 7 years old and can take care of herself in the morning. But I still wake up automatically at 6 in the weekend 😭
Scatterbrained and friendly optimist. Always happy to give my (unasked for) opinion :)
Pardon my rambling and broken English, I know I often sound like an alien trying to impersonate a human being.

Yes, European :)
But the egg dispenser is something I once 3d printed when it was still a hobby.
Can’t seem to find the original design anymore though.

Oh, I think it’s this one: https://www.printables.com/model/70036-fridge-spiral-egg-holder
We use this thing instead of the carton.

My dad had something even older, but the first computer I got to use was our Wang 286
I remember that post! I had a lot of fun generating people’s usernames :)
I guess we can always do another one?
Looks to me like it’s still standing :)
First thing that popped into my mind as well.
It was ridiculous how fast it could go through those 6 batteries.
Eventually my parents got sick of having to buy them and I was only allowed to play using a power adapter.
I tend to just leave them out all together. Don’t know why though, maybe it’s faster?
It feels a bit like when you read a book fast and skip over entire words.
“Need to do some cleaning.”
“How could this be done faster?”
Or a common one:
“Hungry” :)
It was just a basic guideline being taught to me back then. And I guess it’s mainly for cruising speeds. You might want to stick with a lower gear for accelerating. There are of course all kinds of exceptions. And NL is basically flat, so I don’t know about hills :)
But the km/h list gives me something to fall back on when in doubt. Driving is stressful enough for me as it is.
I took my driving lessons with a manual, but have been driving automatic for over a decade now.
Whenever I do need to drive a manual, I usually need a while to get used to it again. At those moments I make use of the guidelines that were taught to me by my driving instructor:
It’s a simple helper that matches most of the common speed zones in the Netherlands (30, 50, 80). From what I can quickly read, the 80 zone is 90 in Romania, so it should still work?
Anyway, don’t worry too much. It is also nice not having to drive at all if it comes down to that, your boyfriend’s family sounds nice :)
Enjoy your trip!
Sure! Here you go :)

And here’s the whole image with the rest of my doodles:
Right now it’s these mochi I doodled:
“I’m so grateful you’re in my life.“
Still makes me feel…. Just wonderful.
650 years ago this place was a sea. So I’d end up having to swim at least a couple of kilometers. Considering the current sea temperatures, I’d probably die of hypothermia before I could reach the shore.
Bamboo rats feed on the underground roots of bamboo plants.
I’m not sure how much of an impact they make, but I can imagine they keep some of the growth in check.
Brain goes …
I’m busy working my way through Steven Erikson’s Malazan Book of the Fallen series.
It’s a very dense set of books with a ton of lore, but I’m enjoying it a lot (I’m at the sixth one so far).
The only downside is that I read them on an e-reader and can’t quickly look at all the detailed maps and glossaries whenever I want.
