I tried a pair of the Duluth Buck Naked with the bullpen and the seam started coming apart in the ball pouch after one wash. My regular Buck nakeds last 5 years or more until the elastic starts giving out. That’s far longer than any other kind I’ve found.

Related to this, are you able to picture images in your head while awake? There’s a phenomenon called aphantasia that I’ve participated in a couple studies on. I’m somewhere around a 4 or 5 on the picture in the wiki. I recall at least one of the studies exploring the correlation between aphantasia and dreaming.

Parboil them? I simmer them in beer, sliced onions, garlic, and a couple spices so they get cooked most of the way through then finish them on the grill. You can then pour out most of the beer and add some brown sugar and saute for some quick caramelized onions to put on the brats.

I have a first gen Define XL that’s probably closing in on 15 years old. Still going strong as my primary desktop case. The only problem I’ve had is little cheap plastic connectors to attach the feet to the case broke. I know they’ve fixed the design for recent versions but I can’t justify the cost when the rest still works fine.

Smoking everywhere. For anyone who wasn’t around for the 70s/80s/90s, everything was tinged yellow and smelled of smoke. Car/plane/train seats had built-in ashtrays. Restaurants had smoking sections separated from the non-smoking sections by waist-high walls.

I have asthma and it sucked. Not sure if I grew out of it as I got older or if there’s just not a miasma of smoke around everywhere, but it rarely bothers me anymore.

I’m part of a CSA with a small, local farm. The winter share was $5 a dozen for 2 dozen every other week. We’ll see if the price goes up for the summer share.

Maybe I’m lucky to be in a city with tons of farms nearby, but I’d encourage others to look for local options like this.

My old washer died about two weeks ago. It was a 30 year old Frigidaire that shorted something and made magic smoke. That was a pretty asshole move.

We replaced it with a Speed Queen and it’s been great so far.

I did check that, but thank you. The failure was accompanied by a bunch of magic smoke so something’s good and dead.

Conan and Craig were my go-tos. It’s not a talk show, but Conan’s podcast is hilarious and he really shines in the longer interview format, both with celebrities and with fans.

I wish I’d thought to look for something like that beforehand.

I cannot remember a single thing about the movie except that I recall loving the way in which the story was told but hating the story itself.

He forgot the most important variable in that equation, and it’s time. I continually have to remind clients of that. You can throw more people and money at a problem but you can’t get 9 people with uteruses to give birth to a baby in 1 month.
