Did you see that ludicrous display last night?
Context is key… But it is a threat 100%… Just depends how …serious
My mom does this game where we have a bunch of random (and generally cheap crap) gifts and a some dice. We roll the dice and have to trade, steal, open or leave with the gift. The kids seem to enjoy it and we generally have a good time. The key is to have a decent gift and something crazy that is like ‘where did you get this.’ we recently introduced this to a friend group… There’s not a legendary homemade necklace that looks like someone named groodle made it 2k years ago.
From the comments this seems not so odd… But my go to is two pieces of white bread with cheese and mustard microwaves. I call it a mustard sandwich and my mother hates me for it…
@verdantbanana maybe i wasn’t super clear… my issue isn’t with heavy metals and what we should do about them. my issue with the article is that it lacks actual data what one could compare with regulatory levels globally… like regardless if it’s true, my beef is with the lack of meat to the article.
As someone in the industry, I hate these articles. Yes, heavy metals matter and generally come from over usage of pesticides… But this article does what many are doing lately… Not giving values. Some heavy metals are naturally occuring and are at low levels with no risk… Without values this is bullshit. Reminds me of the girl scout cookies thing…
@sleepybisexual the internet archive has a good repository.
@SethTaylor kodi
the seas aside, if you’re signed up to a bunch of different services, you can use scrapers to source them from from the legal sites easily on one platform. I wish more apps did this… syncler used to but I think thats a dead project.
Envy - Eunoia
open.spotify.com/album/0ENNpHz…
I missed this dropped last fall and been listening to it kinda non stop for the past week or two. It might be their best release… Dunno. If you’re not familiar, envy is a post hardcore (with strong post rock vibes) band out of Japan. Legends in the scene.
So I see a few takes… But I think it’s been a slow and mostly private change. My mom is a wedding planner and it’s been a bit more than 10 years since she went from saying ‘they met x at y’ yo ‘they met online’ for most of her weddings. Most folks that I can recall were on MatchDotCom. It was interesting seeing the progression form ‘oh that’s kinda weird’ to it being the norm from her perspective.
@Coelacanth the internet archive game launcher is a great kodi addon ;)
(side note apparently you have to side load the apk from their site if you want controllers to work without an additional addon)
@Coelacanth it’s def held up by nostalgia… the movement is not greeaat. but man it’s so fun. :D
I think the second one is considered the best? or was it wrath of heaven… i watched a friend play that and it was a very different game tho. it’s a stealth heavy game for the first one.
@Corno i was just playing tenchu stealth assassin on the psx… classic… once i remembered the controls.
Talk to their financial office. And you’re a fucking champ for being a homie like this. Genuinely
@mez popsci.com/science/article/201…
it’s important to really explain evolution to folks. as someone that grew up in churches but always have been very scientific… when you really talk to them simply, they kind of get on board. like ‘wouldn’t it make sense that bright colored weak prey would die quicker than camouflaged prey’ - they seem to be able to make that hurdle.
Let me preface this by saying… I am not really into podcasts and lesser interested in d&d. I just have a hard time locking into some things…
The Unexpectables.
It’s from some of the team four star alumni, so it’s well voiced and well written. They’re on the second campaign and it’s just so good. It’s as funny as it is deep in lore.
…how about the bluesky folks actually federate? For some reason I can’t convince anyone there to use the fedi bridge …
Pixelfed might be more up your alley as it’s a more insta like experience…but there are many pictures and political meme communities out this way.
@Crackhappy
Lil homie looks like a menace
