Arch Enemy fucking rocks. Angela and Alyssa are both badass and are probably my first time seeing a woman do harsh vocals like that.
Thanks, this was very helpful. I’ll make sure to try this when I get the chance.

I’ve never actually heard about it before now or used it so everything I say is just coming straight out my ass, but, it seems their library is very limited. Orpheus has a very extensive library with almost everything on there having a lossless flac version. It’s still nothing compared to Soulseek, but as long as you’re into bands/artists with more than 5 listeners in their lifetime, you’ll be able to find everything. It all just comes down to what you’re looking for though.

I’m a member on Orpheus and they have a lot of great community stuff like Album of the Month, user made scripts, tutorials, forums, etc. They can also have a lot higher quality content and moderation because they’re so “exclusive”. And, for music, a private tracker is gonna be 100x better than a public one or Soulseek.

I believe they hold interviews during the weekends and the wait times vary throughout the weekend but for me I had to wait about 3 or 4 hours before getting an interview.
ober@lemmy.dbzer0.comto Piracy: ꜱᴀɪʟ ᴛʜᴇ ʜɪɢʜ ꜱᴇᴀꜱ@lemmy.dbzer0.com•Where to find FLAC music?English1·10 months agoOPS is pretty easy to get into. The wait times for interviews can be long, but much much better than RED. The actual interview is pretty easy too imo. Just make sure to read through the interview prep.

It’ll download and seed torrents for you and you can stream them to your other devices or just download them (not every provider offers streaming).
ober@lemmy.dbzer0.comto Asklemmy@lemmy.ml•Turn old phone into media/music player ( with custom rom? )English7·2 years agoYou should be able to use adbshell with shizuku (both in f-droid) to remove whatever you won’t use. I doubt there’s any custom Roms that’ll help here though. If you’re willing to root the phone then you can probably find some way to get what you want.

I’m on Linux and just created a torrent maybe 3 minutes ago. It’s under the “Tools” option in the toolbar at the top. It can also be opened with “Ctrl+N”. Maybe it’s just not a thing with the docker version?
ober@lemmy.dbzer0.comto Piracy: ꜱᴀɪʟ ᴛʜᴇ ʜɪɢʜ ꜱᴇᴀꜱ@lemmy.dbzer0.com•How to install StarfieldEnglish1·2 years agoI use a program called unrar to unpack .rars
unrar /path/to/.rar/
Then I run the installer .exe with Wine. Once that finishes I add it as a non-steam game and select the newest version of Proton. Sometimes I’ll check protondb if the game doesn’t work right away.

I’ve heard of Dark Castle as Stevie Floyd is the now ex-wife of Jef Whitehead who’s my favorite musician period. I haven’t actually listened to any of their stuff though, maybe I should give them a try?
