Same. I mean, I was already looking to rent a VPS, but at least there’s some time so I can save money until things get weird.

I mean, Carlos Slim is not from the USA, so most news were in spanish:
I’m glad there’s a printer service close to where I live, I can go there and print every page for cents. There’s also one on my faculty, more expensive, but still affordable. I only use my HP printer/scanner to scan documents, ink is expensive as hell.
I use the ‘No Thanks’ app, but only as a starting point to then confirm if what they say it’s true. I don’t like that it’s closed source, but at least it’s an option. Also, I should note that some brands are ethical in some countries or states, but not globally, so you should check local resources for better results 🧐
I’m still using Docker Rootless, which I want to change for Podman since Rootless is second-class for Docker, but I haven’t been able to read the documentation enough to understand Podman Quadlets to migrate my compose files, and there are some incompatible configurations so even if using podlet
, I have to edit some things manually.
I also want to migrate to MicroOS if possible in my server, but I’m still testing things in a VM to understand enough and the cost-benefit u.u
This has happened in México too, the most famously recorded one was during Enrique Peña Nieto’s term (sorry for linking to YT). They said the flag thing was an accident, but it was during the Flag Day and everyone was angry with the way the government was handling things. The government-influenced media was angry with the military because “they made a mistake”, but we all knew why it happened.
I’m self-hosting in a 500GB HDD, 2 cores AMD A6, 8GB RAM thinkcentre (access for LAN only) that I got very cheap.
It could be better, I’m going to buy a new computer for personal use and I’m the only one in my family who uses the hosted services, so upgrades will come later 😴
Thanks! I’ll check which similar hardware I can find near me :D
May I ask which devices (computers/keyboards) do you use for your screens? I’d like to do the same, since we mostly watch the same TV channels in my house and one subscription would cover most of the content my family watches.
Specify that, “free” means two things in English, otherwise use “libre”, which means freedom in Spanish and it’s sometimes used to refer to free or libre software.
That’s why I only use Perplexity. ChatGPT can’t give me sources unless I pay, so I can’t trust information it gives me and it also hallucinated a lot when coding, it was faster to search in the official documentation rather than correcting and debugging code “generated” by ChatGPT.
I use Perplexity + SearXNG, so I can search a lot faster, cite sources and it also makes summaries of your search, so it saves me time while writing introductions and so.
It sometimes hallucinates too and cites weird sources, but it’s faster for me to correct and search for better sources given the context and more ideas. In summary, when/if you’re correcting the prompts and searching apart from Perplexity, you already have something useful.
BTW, I try not to use it a lot, but it’s way better for my workflow.
I don’t usually like to use specific terms to define myself, but to me it’s easier to say: “bisexual agender” than: “I don’t actually fit into the gender roles nor identities, and I also like a lot of different people, but not always. Also I sometimes feel inclined to a gender, but never enough to say ‘I’m that’”. You know, like a TL;DR.
Also, I’ve known different types of people who need definitions and certain terms:
I’m pretty sure there are more reasons, but you need to understand that external people will try to negate anything that’s not “written down”. And to add more context, there are some terms I haven’t even seen in person or known, but whatever, I respect that. I hope categorizing is not needed in the future. Unfortunately, there’s still backlash, hate and violence towards the community, with or without “weird” words, you can be targeted just because of your looks or your personality.
P.S.: some people may not need to specify their preference/identity, but that may be because theirs is seen as “normal”, that’s a whole other discussion.
