News@lemmy.world•Elon Musk on X antisemitism controversy: “Don’t advertise. Go f*** yourself”
22·2 years agoYeah that’s totally fair. A billionaire’s actions are generally more newsworthy since they can exhibit much more control of the world around them than most people. I guess I’m just tired of this asshole and want his antics to just stop. But maybe that’s hoping for too much.

News@lemmy.world•Elon Musk on X antisemitism controversy: “Don’t advertise. Go f*** yourself”
33·2 years agoYou’re right. Saying “I’m tired of seeing so much shit about Musk” is the same as “Musk did nothing wrong and it’s actually everyone else’s fault that he’s an asshole.” You’re too smart for me. I can’t believe I thought that I’d outfox you and everyone else here.

News@lemmy.world•Elon Musk on X antisemitism controversy: “Don’t advertise. Go f*** yourself”
37·2 years agoHuh? I really don’t understand where all this came from. I’m not trying to “control the internet and the rest of the entire world”. I asked if we could all ignore Musk rather than give him so much attention all the time. If you disagree, that’s fine. Clearly, a lot of other people here do also, so I suspect that we will continue to see articles posted about anything and everything Elon Musk does. And that’s fine. That’s how this whole platform is intended to work. But that doesn’t mean I also shouldn’t express that I am tired of seeing “news” about the guy and would rather it stop.

News@lemmy.world•Elon Musk on X antisemitism controversy: “Don’t advertise. Go f*** yourself”
512·2 years agoI downvoted it and also felt the desire to express my opinion in a comment. What else is the point of a comment section if not to comment on the content of the post?
I find it a bit ironic that you left a comment to “whine” about “whiny” people when you could have followed your own advice by voting on my comment and ignoring it.

817·2 years agoElon Musk being an asshole is not “news”. Can we please just start ignoring that piece of shit instead of posting every god damn article about him all over Lemmy?

573·2 years agoNah he put his hands on her first. I think she is well within reason to throw a punch at him for that, especially given that he came at her aggressively, calling her racial slurs.

Ask Lemmy@lemmy.world•What are your thoughts on the concept of having faith in a Higher Power but choosing to distance oneself from established religious doctrines?

Ask Lemmy@lemmy.world•With basically almost every company collecting all our data at all times, who exactly are they selling it too? Wouldn't all these companies by this point have all yhe same information?
8·2 years agoThis varies state to state, but it’s likely that your LLC registration (including its members names) is public record. In that case, the state didn’t sell your info. Anyone can view that info and use it to contact you.
This sort of thing was rather startling to me when my wife and I bought our house. Apparently property sales are all public record where we live, so we started getting mail from random insurance companies within a month after moving.
Same. They killed Apollo, so I dipped.
