There is. Have fun!
magnetosphere@kbin.socialto Ask Lemmy@lemmy.world•How come Republicans are the most fervent Christians?5·1 year agoVery, very true. I have met many so-called “Christians” who are only interested in moral authority/power. They usually drive cars with a fish on them, or a bumper sticker with some cliche about god.
I worked with ONE person who was probably the most faithful Christian I’ve ever met. He didn’t talk about religion. He didn’t wear a cross (or if he did, it was on a chain beneath his shirt and tie). He never judged people. He was genuinely pleasant to everyone.
I think there’s a significant overlap in Christianity and Republican thinking because many people are okay with hypocrisy and disdain critical thinking.

magnetosphere@kbin.socialto World News@lemmy.world•South Korean companies are offering workers $75,000 to have babies amid the country's desperate bid for more children38·1 year ago$75,000 for ONE child seems almost reasonable. $22,400 is a fucking joke.
magnetosphere@kbin.socialto News@lemmy.world•No, electric vehicle sales aren’t dropping. Here’s what’s really going on6·1 year agoI don’t know how much of a reason that is to rule out Kia. I think every large automaker has got to be horrible in one way or another; the only difference is whether we know about it or not.
magnetosphere@kbin.socialto Technology@lemmy.world•Are search engines, like Google, relevant at all anymore? Why use them? A relevant debate. It's not 2010 anymore.34·1 year agoWhat kind of fediverse search are you talking about? Provide a link. That would do much, much more than any explanations or testimonials possibly could.

If the machine knows when someone is looking at it, it can stop doing whatever it does to try and get your attention, and put itself in “sales mode”.
Still, you’re right. It seems like an overly complicated and expensive solution. Old-fashioned vending machines did the job just fine.

If both parties are cool with it, that’s enough for me.
magnetosphere@kbin.socialto News@lemmy.world•Generative AI’s environmental costs are soaring — and mostly secret52·1 year agoI think that’s their point
It’s extremely difficult to have ethics while being involved in a capitalist system which is inherently unethical. Genuinely giving a damn and putting people ahead of profits is seen as a liability.
I’m sorry I don’t have any advice to give.
