I am cold resistant in general and I never had a brain freeze headache. Can load up my whole mouth with crushed ice or popsicles and let it all melt, never had one.

Could you elaborate on that take?

A friend of mine got the recommendation to be a pedicurist. Not a manicurist, not some general aesthetician, nope. Test wanted him to work with feet so badly ( ͡° ͜ʖ ͡°)
No, it’s about 10 minutes by bus, which is really neat.
It’s a chain of flower retailers. I certainly learnt a lot, but it’s a very faced paced and volatile environment and industry with sometimes long hours and it’s way more physically demanding than I could have ever imagined.
I (late 20ies, then mid 20ies), after a failed degree and multiple stints in a local psych ward, just did the most boomer thing possible, walked into a shop at the local mall and asked.
I only wanted to work 10 hours a week at first, but the manager misunderstood and submitted me for 20, I was too nervous to correct her.
The trial day apparently went well, they sent me home after 2 hours instead of 6 because they were sure they wanted me. Didn’t tell me that tho, so when she sent me home after 2 hours, I cried the 4 remaining hours feeling worthless.
The next day they called. I accepted, I worked really hard. 3 months later the temporary manager was moved somewhere else and for some reason they made me manager. That was two years ago.
Some days I love it. Some days I hate it. But I never expected it to work out like that. I know I can’t do this forever, but it’s good for now.

kraftpudding@lemmy.worldto Asklemmy@lemmy.ml•What are the rules of using the toilet in school in different countries?4·7 months agoGermany: basically after you’re out if elementary school (10/11), youre expected to only use the bathrooms in breaks or between lessons (at our school, you’d have two 45 minute lessons and then a 20min break in between). If you go in between lessons, you were supposed to tell the teacher, but you didn’t need to ask for permission. Going during the lesson was basically a emergency only thing.
I don’t think that’s unreasonable or inhumane. Your not a toddler, you can hold your pee for a while and plan ahead. I can’t remember anyone ever having an accident or problem with it.
Look at these guys, taking turns on a baby kangaroo. How wholesome
kraftpudding@lemmy.worldto No Stupid Questions@lemmy.world•Why do phone manufacturers use in-display fingerprint readers instead of fingerprint readers on the power button?1·10 months agoFor me, dirt and especially water getting into the case through the camera holes is definitely an issue, and my case also is tight.

kraftpudding@lemmy.worldto No Stupid Questions@lemmy.world•How do I alleviate bitterness due to lack of intimacy?253·10 months agoWell, it sounds like you’re going after women out if your league because you think they’re attractive and that’s a valid choice. But it is a choice you’re making. It sounds like you could have intimacy if you lowered your standards or increased you attractiveness (gym etc). Or you could abandon dating to not have to face rejections.
So I think the key to avoid bitterness is to reevaluate if the choice you are making still works for you if it brings up bitterness. Then you can either stay with your choice or switch, if you don’t think any other option brings less negative feelings.
And if you choose the best option for you, there’s no need for bitterness.
So, all you have to do to be an adult is get a retail job? Nice.
