It would previous help me to regulate my appetite, helping with my comorbid binge eating disorder. I could get dopamine from smoking weed that I’d otherwise get from food. Of course, I’d usually get it from both, but having a good time stoned was definitely a fun thing for me that’d reduce my general cravings for other stimulation. But the meds are more effective (and specifically kill appetite as a side effect)
Weed. Had to quit for an extended family holiday. I’ve had t-breaks like that a dozen times or so over the past 20 years, but was otherwise smoking daily. When I got home last September, I smoked a couple of bowls I had left behind and then just… stopped.
I don’t really have much to say about it. I don’t feel significantly clearer-headed or motivated. No profound physiological impact. Same as when I took breaks from it, had super weird and vivid dreams for a short while after stopping.
I’ll partake when I’m offered a doobie at a party, but I probably won’t go back to my old habits.
I think the reason I stopped is because I started taking (non-stimulant) ADHD meds a couple years back and the increase in dopamine made me just not feel like it anymore.
Have a Kodi add-on setup integrated with trakt and custom widgets. So whenever I load up Kodi I get a feed of
And then a separate similar set of widgets for movies. I find the trakt recommendations include a lot of old movies too. So if I can’t find anything I want from the feeds of new stuff, I just pull up the trailer for one of the old movies I’m recommended and take a punt on it if I’m interested.
For YouTube I just use the recommendation algorithms (delivered via SmartTube)

I think that’s true for small containers, such as a can. Whereas 1.5L is an impractical amount to drink of anything, more likely to lead to drinking until satiation rather than until the container is finished. Especially where the starting point of the habit involves opening a fresh container with a certain aesthetic, and finishing it. That itself can be psychologically addicting. It was for me.
Neither aluminium nor plastic are infinitely recyclable. I read somewhere that factoring in the energy and materials required in the initial production of the container, plastic is about 13x more wasteful. So while of course it depends on serving size (which would logically be different transitioning from small cans to large bottles), as well as recycling programs in your area and their respective efficiencies, you’re most likely correct that the carbon footprint of large bottle would be higher overall.
What I really meant to get at was ‘waste’ in terms of the amount of empty containers that tend to pile up around you. For myself being addicted to drinking cans of fizzy, I would stack them around me and it would become a much larger job to clean them up than it is for large bottles.
I’ll also say that while being addicted to cans, I lamented their relatively higher cost and was more compelled to go for small bottle form factor on occasions where they were available cheaper than cans, rather than large bottles. Small bottles of course being by far the most wasteful.
Switch to a caffeine-free version some of the time, then all of the time. For Pepsi Max this is only available in the 1.5L bottles where I am, so add in an extra step switching from cans to bottles (which should also reduce cost/waste).
Buy a nice reusable water bottle and ensure you have a clean, not-bad-tasting source of fresh water to fill it with (where I am this means bottled or filtered). Keep it filled and close to you at all times. Only use water in it.
Once you’re comfortable with these adjustments, taper off the fizzy drink. If you’re still having significant trouble or cravings, or substitute for something worse: just keep drinking the fizzies. It’s one of the least harmful bad habits you could have, and depending on your circumstances might be a best case scenario

Thinking more about it, rather than getting something like a suorin edge, you’d be better off just getting a backup pod system of whatever type you already have/enjoy.
Pod devices are essentially just a battery in a hard case as it is. To go a more hot-swappable method than they already are would involve compromises you might not have considered.

How were the trackers added to these torrents? Assuming either a) you added them manually, or b) the tracker you downloaded the torrent files from bundled them into the torrent file?
If b), if you downloaded the torrent file again now that one of its trackers is defunct, would it still be bundled?
If no, or if a), you could remove the torrents without touching the downloaded data, then locate your “snatch list” on the private tracker (a list of all torrents you’ve downloaded), batch download them all and add them to qbt, assuming same output folder they will detect the downloaded files and go to 100% without downloading anything.
If yes, there isnt a way I can think of to remove the trackers as a batch, but aside from tidiness of your client there shouldn’t be any actual problem resulting from them being there.

FWIW you can fix the aspect ratio issue on the firestick using ADB to force the device to display in a 4:3 resolution (except when using streaming apps that force 16:9)
If you want something privacy oriented you’ll probably need to build some kind of NUC. To my knowledge no off-the-shelf streaming device respects privacy
There are things like torrentio now which lend BitTorrent piracy a more integrated UX, and that has definitely extended the lifespan of its usefulness to me. Torrents rarely max out my line speed these days, mostly because I have 1000X the bandwidth compared to when I first started torrenting 20 odd years ago. But it’s still one of the fastest and simplest methods to get any file you want, so I think it’s relevant

Yeah, I start the shower hot then gradually increase the temp as I get used to it, and I’m usually in there until the hot water runs out. I’ve had housemates comment on how hot I have it based on the position I left the tap mixer. But it’s a critical part of my wake-up routine, the very first part of which is getting up to pee. So I rarely need to pee mid-shower. If I do, I just hop out and pee while dripping wet and hop back in.
Anyway, between that and my morning coffee I need to get up at least an hour before I leave for work. I’ll compromise with a takeaway coffee if I’m running late, but if I’m so behind that showering is gonna make me late, so be it.
