Firstly, absolutely nobody in this comment chain said Russia was at war with NATO.
Second, it’s Russia that started invading independent foreign countries in this recent conflict, of course Russia’s neighbours and their allies aren’t going to reduce their spending, they don’t want to risk being invaded or threatened.
Third, it is true that they haven’t really tried to deescalate the situation, but I don’t see how they could unless Russia accepts to entirely leave all of Ukraine’s territory, which Russia is unwilling to do. There can be no compromise here, anything else would make Russia the imperialist state…
And just stop with the personal attacks, they only end up making your arguments less credible

But don’t you think his views on pedophilia are unacceptable? He says he has changed his mind and that’s great but doesn’t excuse what he said.
I usually agree with his views on software but the rest is often questionable
That’ll get the fathers at least 6 months in prison in France, probably more for negligence etc.
And homeschooling requires a very good reason why they can’t go to school (pretty much always a health condition, and that needs proof) there are annual inspections and every other year the reason for homeschooling is verified.
The Controversies section of his Wikipedia page is euh interesting to say the least. He said some things that are not remotely acceptable
1·2 years agoI found this study about the differences (but it’s from 2014, please tell me if you find a more recent one) The Impact of Sex and Gender on Adaptation to Space: Executive Summary.
TL;DR female astronauts have, according to the study:
- a higher risk of cancer (a 45-year-old man has a 344-day limit in space to be safe versus a 187-day limit for a 45-year-old woman)
- more orthostatic intolerance
- more UTIs (which makes sense as women on earth are also more likely to have UTIs)
- less vision impairment compared to male astronauts (no clinically significant cases of VIIP syndrome)
- less hearing problems (men show a more rapid decline in the left ear and in general like on Earth)
Keep in mind that this data is not the best because only around 20% of people that had been on the ISS at the time were women and because male astronauts are more likely to come from a military background.
