Maybe people should actually learn to use their brains so they can read slightly more difficult articles. Holy shit are we gonna have some idiots running around in 10 years. Didn’t think we could get dumber but here we are. (I’m not including people with learning disabilities obviously, they may need an article written or summarized differently to grasp it).

Every day of my life trying to explain to friends they need to quit using spoon fed software. Sigh.

Imagine them being able to play cs and go a whole round after dying instantly to a one tap… kids definitely couldn’t handle it

Thank you to everyone who commented. You guys are basically geniuses as far as im concerned, and I have a good library of content to look back on now when I have time to get into it. The hardest part will be coming up with a project so simple that I can do it, but one thats interesting enough for me to actually stick with. Maybe something at first like, at 6 pm on Tuesdays, it flashes a gif onscreen. Or maybe a super simple text game.

I hate the term. It waters down true programmers and hard work. 9 year old rips off someone and makes game, “app”. Actual software dev makes useful program using hard work and their own assets, “app”.

I would say the same. No ipads or smartphones. Give them books on coding. Build a pc with them. Learn to solder.

Yep I only have windows for pubg and vr…I really hope vr on linux gets some more advances cuz I do enjoy it
