Not the same person but I’m using Nova on my pixel, for starters icon pack support is a must to me, and then Nova lets me tweak things on a granular level, so I end up with much cleaner looking launcher, no search bar, no scrolling bar, customizable background color, text color etc and that’s just a few advantages it offers.

The Exynos variants of Samsung devices can have their bootloader unlocked, it’s the snapdragon ones that can’t and even then there are some instances where it was possible to do it, but it’s still a hassle and the Exynos variants tend not to have good development support.

Zed@lemmy.worldto Technology@lemmy.world•Vanishing act: 87% of classic video games are no longer available commercially | The disappearance of classic video gamesEnglish21·2 years agoThis is awful, to think that all this legacy would go to waste someday, I can’t fathom having all these unique experiences, all these stories and love letters to genres and cultures getting lost in the vortex of time.
I feel sad for the people that are just getting into gaming and them not experiencing games that made history, the good and the bad.
Something like this should be preserved even if just for study purposes, for those games before the digital era, the only options that are left for us are either piracy or emulation, and thankfully we do have these options but yeah we really should have future proofed this industry in some way.

Android because I like the freedom it provides.
As for the phone I’m using. It’s a Oneplus 3 I got a few years back, it’s falling apart but I can’t afford changing it, so I’ll be using it till its last breath.

we’re witnessing something great taking place and I’m glad I’m part of it.

I bought a second hand pixel 6a a couple weeks ago, my previous phone was the OnePlus 3, lasted me 5 years and at the time of purchase it was already a two years old second hand, bought them for basically the same price, 200€.
