Like when you look at the list of custom games, instead of just being weird and wonderful game modes and “chill no kill VC 18+” there was also “regular overwatch being played by regular people”
They had the Kinect which (ignoring all the negative press surrounding it) fucking slapped, and could easily have been integrated with a VR headset for full-body VR.
They have Blizzard which im pretty sure means they can put WoW on xbox but don’t even seem to have started.
They’re positioned to have the greatest console of all time and they’re just fucking around instead. It’s maddening.
Its weird how annoying the battle pass system is. On the one hand I get it, they want that sweet battle pass money that everyone else is getting, and I don’t really care about cosmetics anyway.
On the other hand, I paid full price for 1, and was willing to pay for the PvE, and it feels like they just said “fuck you pay me” out of nowhere.
I really wish there were custom games where they just play like quick play. I do believe its one of the best games out if not for the players. You either meet Sweaty Eddie who’s on the mic telling you to kill yourself because he thinks youre not winning hard enough, or the guy who thinks the game is to stand there and spam “hello” and the dance emote at the enemy.
I very very rarely get a game where people are just playing the game and enjoying themselves.
Im completely oblivious to any of the enshittification, but like any online game the fun is long gone for most people. Skill floor is way too high. As soon as you join a match youre completely outskilled by everybody and its clear youre nothing but a hindrance to your team.
Your opponents laugh at you and style as hard as they can and your teammates resent your existence, assuming they stick around long enough to make it clear.
Hyper-competitive games are fun for about 3 months and then youre either in or out.
Im going to nominate one of these little guys
Also its not anywhere because the company that made it doesnt exist any more so technically nobody has the rights to sell it. There’s going to be a lot more legal technicalities than that but that’s basically it.
Why have I never heard of this before that’s a brilliant idea. Do they grow mad mold quickly?
Mega Man is a pretty sweet example, explained by this blast from the past.
In a way it’s more fair by design. In a completely fair game the most skilled player will always win. In a game like Mario Kart everyone has a chance to win.
As a kid my family wouldn’t play most games with me because I won every time. If we couldn’t do co-op mode we didnt play, and they’d still get grumbly on co-op because I’d be doing the heavy lifting and showing them up. They’d play Mario Kart and Mario Party with me though.
As an e-sport or “compare your online rank to mine and weep” dick-measurer it sucks. As a video game its very good.
That’s exactly why I refuse to use tutorials from YouTube. I’m just here to learn the thing you said you were teaching in the title. Im not looking to smash that subscribe button and ding the bell and comment below if I want to see more and see how all your other videos were doing or learn about how you got started in whatever field this is or when the thing was invented or little known facts about the thing that is useless filler to get you up to 10 minutes and im still not interested in like and subscribing and I don’t want to hear about how grateful you are about getting to whatever number of subscribers you have and just get to the fucking topic you promised you bitch
I have the ability to do the job you require and am willing to do it in the listed times for the price stated. Let’s get this going.
I bloody hate having to be all “yeah im really passionate about mopping floors at 6am? There’s nothing I love more than getting yelled at by customers.”
It frustrates me because having to suck them off like that is the only technique that works because why don’t interviewers see straight through it? Their entire purpose at that point is to hire the best guy for the job, and consistently they just fall for bullshit.
I peaked hard on Halo. I wish I had the gear/inclination to start a YouTube channel for it. Back in those days YouTube wasn’t the high-paying career it is today, and i was convinced it would be a waste of money to get the gear required to start one.
I’ve properly grown up since then though, and now im nowhere near the best at any video game. I often wonder how different life would be if I’d managed to just sit at home playing games every day and be a near millionaire from it.
Tunic felt to me like being 3 or 4 again. Unable to read the instructions, working it out from the pictures and button icons.
I didnt complete it, I got stuck against some baddy quite early on and just sorta lost interest, but its on my list of games to go back to.
Im going to need to go back and try it again, I don’t think i gave it enough time. I failed (because of course I did) about 5 times before giving up. Its a neat concept but it didnt get its hooks in me like everyone else says.
Without fullt spoiling it, does it have some kind of twist in it that I didnt give it a chance to do?
Absolutely. I haven’t personally pirated anything since getting netflix years ago, but its looking more and more tempting to get back into it.
Do it loudly and keep teaching others how to.
Steam taught us that piracy is a service issue and this shit right here is a service issue.
I sometimes wonder what I casually believe because I read it while scrolling for something interesting. I don’t have the time or inclination to fact check every single detail I come across.
Brand new concept to me, we cant have anything nice.
