That’s an interesting viewpoint. Personally, I think the nihilistic persective is somewhere among the lines of:

At some point, all life shall cease. This is not an opinion, it is an unavoidable fact. All of our pretty houses will be gone, and so will all of our loved ones, that we so cherish. Even if we manage to find a cure to all disease, this will be meaningless. We will inherit the legacy of our indifferent universe: empty, dead space. At the very end, every single moment of our collective existence will be essentially reduced to such an absolute state of nothingness, one that we can’t even perceive. If you think about it, the only sane action, when faced with this truth, is inaction, for all is meaningless. The earth doesn’t have value because it has life. It lacked any value to begin with, for it too, will at some point be gone, likely much sooner than we think…

I don’t really get Google’s angle since it’s pretty obvious that their AI search sucks. Maybe it’s just to impress shareholders?
