Happy birthday!
Happy birthday!
Ours tried to explain to project leaders that employees are not mostly interested in their salary, but in praise. That went over well.
some would try to appear “we are family” to retain employees
Nope. Rule of acquisition 111. They claim that everyone is part of a happy family because family is easiest to exploit.
Did not cry exactly but… if you are like me and you like Babylon 5, do not check up on the cast.
Fucking assholes. From what is known about their sex test, it is similarly scientific to the “I know it when I see it” rule from the 1960s to determine if something is obscene. In other words, utter bullshit.
And all of this pretending to care about women while at the same time you have abuse scandals in sports every five minutes that never seem to have real consequences or result in positive change for the athletes.
Yeah, I don’t believe you one bit when you say you want to protect women.
Good thing there are no actual problems to solve…
We have a customer, a big international corporation, that has very specific rules for their intranet passwords:
I can only assume that whoever came up with these rules is either an especially demented BofH, or they have some really really weird legacy infrastructure to deal with.
Attacking the very poorest of society with all his energy. What a piece of work.
Although I haven’t checked in for a while. I haven’t checked since awkward Hitler took over.
He’s not gotten any better. I think Lucy Lawless might have once again had to call him “peanut”.
Kevin Sorbo
A yes, that is an actor. A bad faith actor!

Ok now you’re really in trouble.
Bill Gates is probably one of the best billionaires.
Not to put too fine a point on it, but last time I checked, he hadn’t snuffed it yet?
Cycling, specifically the Tour de France, or as I like to call it, the Tour de Farce. It’s advertised as a huge thing but then for hours on end, its just sweaty guys on bikes, all side by side, and two commentators enthusiastically discussing basically nothing.
Maybe it’s just me, but I never got that thing to work right anyway - with VSC. It keeps running amok and using up all the CPU time doing stuff it should not be doing, trying to analyze every single file in my VM every single time it is started.
So… good riddance.
I would not count on them telling the truth.
I checked my Windows 11 work laptop a while ago, and that shit was enabled. Did not see that in any UI, but using command line. Said that shit was enabled and active, but apparently it was not yet doing anything. I will have to check again next time I am firing that machine up again, because I absolutely trust them to re-enable it without my consent, those bottom-feeding scum suckers.
