  • I don’t think they need to make their games FOSS to do right by the consumer. If you have an online game and no longer want to support the server part, it would be super cool to share that code, but at the very least companies shouldn’t be trying to shut down community servers. The same goes for the game itself, the source code would be very cool, but not going after people who still want to play the game they’ve chosen to no longer support seems reasonable.

If a company is ending support their ability to enforce copyright should also end, outside of people that are trying to profit off trying to resell the game as their own (which probably doesn’t happen all that much).

  • He did a Walmart call out on his hate network the other day because they stated they were going to need to start raising prices. He publicly told them they make Billions and should just eat the tariffs and can afford to not do any markups for consumers.

I know Trump has zero idea how the economy or even a business works, but watching him telling a large donor and it’s shareholders to forget about capitalism and take a loss on everything they sell so that consumers can afford them was chef’s kiss. He is so in over his head at this point I don’t see a way he able to keep the sharade going without it all crashing down.

  • I think the AI that helps us find/diagnose/treat diseases is great, and the model should be open to all in the medical field (open to everyone I feel would be easily abused by scammers and cause a lot of unnecessary harm - essentially if you can’t validate what it finds you shouldn’t be using it).

I’m not a fan of these next gen IRC chat bots that have companies hammering sites all over the web to siphon up data it shouldn’t be allowed to. And then pushing these boys into EVERYTHING! And like I saw a few mention, if their bots have been trained on unauthorized data sets they should be forced to open source their models for the good of the people (since that is the BS reason openai has been bending and breaking the rules).
