Actually, this is me sharpening my genre whetstone. I’m writing a book set in a magic school, main character is taking a pegasus-riding class, and its becoming clear that in the climax of the book I’m going to have to describe some very complex aerial horsemanship when I barely understand how a horse thinks.
This is a man who knows how to gling. He is glinging. Yesterday, he _____.

Tried to revisit it as an adult, couldn’t find any reviews for it online. Apparently it was so obviously shovelware thay nobody gave it the time of day.

What is a memory of your father that left the greatest impact on your life?English101·9 days agoWhen I was in boy scouts, my dad at one point made a comment to me that our Senior Patrol Leader was “just like me, but older”
What he meant was that our SPL was an immature little shit and I shouldn’t rely on him. What i heard was “Your personal role model is just like you, and you can be as awesome as him if you put the work in.”

About the data, a huuuge chunk of men arent happy in their own skin being themselves. This leads to constant dating and an increased likelihood to cheat. Its more common for women to he happy with themselves, which leads to less desperation in dating and less cheating.

Wugmeister@lemmy.dbzer0.comto Ask Lemmy@lemmy.world•what is your silliest, simple accomplishment?English17·15 days agoOne time as a 19-year-old, I planned out an entire Traveler campaign in the span of two weeks. 46 planets, each with distinct cultures, local flora and fauna, and a unique questline for each one. There was an overarching plotline about a Doctor Sinestar abducting people and stealing tech. I basically spent two weeks in my room furiously typing from when I woke up until I fell asleep at my keyboard, ignoring my bodily functions until my body forced me to take care of it. It was a race against burnout, and I won, but at what cost?

I just have baggage about taking it outside to write since I was given it when I was in 5th grade, so my bad self talk likes to remind me that “this is a device for children to do their English assignments on” whenever I take it out as an adult

I like using Librewolf more (with uBlock Origin) but it doesnt sync with my phone so I can’t really use it as a daily driver
