HAYDEN, Idaho – Firefighters burned some of the remaining buildings on the former Aryan Nations compound during training exercises this week.

The 20-acre property is owned by the Carr Foundation, which offered the abandoned buildings to Northern Lakes Fire District officials for training, fire inspector Dean Marcus said.

The foundation bought the compound in April from Victoria and Jason Keenan, who won a $6.2 million judgment against the Aryan Nations and its founder, Richard Butler.

Firefighters said they had no political agenda in burning four of the seven buildings during sessions that started Tuesday evening.

“It just gives the folks the opportunity to train how we work,” Chief Jeff Welch said.

A bomb squad dog searched the buildings Thursday to make sure they were safe.

Firefighters plan to torch Butler’s former home and the neo-Nazi sect’s former church July 15.

So it’s 500,000 citizens of four countries to leave, does this mean that taxpayers need to pony up $500,000,000?

Yeah, I was just looking at your post, and I was salivating over the idea of drinking such fantastic mezcal and a good cocktail, but then I looked to the side of me and saw the box of wine I was drinking. You are right; I don’t usually drink a lot of wine either, and I do appreciate the post. A friend of mine goes to auctions and buys crates of expired vintage wine, and often he finds that perhaps maybe seven out of the crate are good to drink, which seems like a great way to go about drinking fine wine on a budget.

Iran has produced enough highly enriched uranium to potentially create multiple nuclear weapons, with estimates suggesting it could have enough for up to nine atomic bombs. What’s the chance that there is a possibility of Iran using this material in various forms of warfare, including dirty bombs?

I was also wondering, with fermentations, usually you need fresh ingredients, but in this case the ingredients being the strawberries are cooked, so I’m guessing here what’s fermenting is the pulp that has been cooked and the sugar. Crazy recipe; I’m going to have to try this.

My secret shame, which is bad apparently, is that if I’m in an adjacent lane on the side lane of the road, waiting stationary, trying to merge into oncoming traffic, I don’t indicate until I feel like there’s less cars coming and more gaps.
