Won’t they just replace one CEO with another and increase their security?
I think for proper defense we need to unite against them.
Not defending the CEO, just saying that killing him won’t solve the actual problem :(
On Mastodon in settings you need to enable your account discoverability. Otherwise people will see you only if they know about you. This is weird default and my main complain about Mastodon :(
Pick any instance that suits your interests: https://joinmastodon.org/en/servers There is also this picker.
Can’t they change this status?
I mean thanks to bridgy you can communicate across blusky and mastodon.
It requires to use a separate app like this which is not very convenient.
Ah, I can do it inside the client, thank you!
How did you enable merge conflict resolution for KeePassXC databases?
People here also hate Reddit, but no one makes fun of them for it😄
Despite the platform having more users, we’re all here for a reason. So it’s no surprise to me that people hate Windows more than usual. I can’t judge them for that.
One does not exclude the other. You can have a fancy name and a semantic versioning.
It’s good, but you can’t know for sure if you removed all bloatware. Also if you install updates you can easily miss newly added ones.
Windows is like Reddit. There is more content and users, but we use Lemmy for a reason. So I’m not surprised that many people joke about GNU/Linux in this thread. GNU/Linux is not for everyone, but so do Lemmy.
Don’t get me wrong, I not saying that it’s good, I just answering the question.
I don’t think that any government funds anything for ideological reasons. It’s always about influence and power.
I daily drive it for almost 2 years. Can totally recommend. With the latest firmware it lasts half a month for me.
It seems that the main complaint is calls and SMS. I use different distro (Arch, btw) with FOSS firmware for the modem and calls / SMS work fine for me.
No call issues at all, I daily drive it.
Doesn’t everything use Tow-Boot now?
Yes, but it’s a distribution of U-Boot and it some releases behind. Megi recently implemented many cool features for U-Boot for PPP and it will take time until they appear in Tow-Boot. So I would recommend to use provided binaries from Megi for now, see his blog for more details: https://xnux.eu/log/091.html.
I mostly wrote it for other readers.
Also used both, I would say they are similar. But Waydroid can’t forward notifications to the main OS as in Sailfish. Sad that AlienDalvik is not FOSS :(
Want to mention that on GNU/Linux we also have Waydroid that provides Android app support :)
Yep, and for anyone who curious why it’s not actually decentralized, I highly suggest to read this thread from someone who worked on ActivityPub:
