Not surprising considering that most 3rd party games are:
I prefer my Cosmopolitans less sweet and lighter on the Cranberry juice.
I think it tastes a better with juice, but you can also use 5ml cranberry syrup instead. It’s quite convenient since the syrup has a longer shelf life.
While I agree with the overall message, I’d say this is on Nintendo for not doing proper communication on the topic. They must know this is a major concern for most people who had a Switch.
Yes, I get they don’t want to acknowledge the drift problem publicly, but surely someone on their marketing team can still come up with a way to discuss the improvements they made and alleviate fears.
There’s a lot of videos and articles like this one discussing how Stage 1-1 of Super Mario Bros for the NES is a cleverly designed tutorial for the core game mechanics.
I’ve been using backloggery.com for more than 15 years.
It’s a simple, manual site, but I think that’s also its main strenght - I’ve had too many issues with other sites where I wanted to add a niche game I played but it was not in their databases, inconsistent naming between games in the same series, no ability to add duplicates when I occasionally double-diped on a game and so on.
It has all features I need - you can add reviews, notes, track priorities, wishlist, borrowed games, make custom lists, get stats… it’s also community supported with no ads.
The site was a bit stale without development for a while, but Drumble (the owner) finished a major rewrite last year and started developing new features again. You can check his profile here for an example.
Looks like a truck carrying dye crashed, part of its load spilled and reached the water. This is a picture from a local news site.
Looks similar to the “Irish Rose” which I like a lot.
Add everything except the soda water, shake+double strain, add the soda water.
And my wife loves smokey drinks so it’s way up high on her list as well.
Adding a small update based on this: Maybe she’ll like a Homely Smoke.
I’ll try diluting more
The recipe mentions “a few dashes” of water but I usually go higher using ~10ml for mine, maybe try something like this?
I probably won’t use sugar cubes moving forward (simple syrup instead).
Yeah, making the angostura-saturated sugar is a fun thing to do a couple times, but syrup is way faster and more practical. I use ~5ml when making mine.
The Teresa was a great suggestion for me! Crazy how close it is to a Negroni even though it kinda comes from a different direction
This is a problem I feel with Campari drinks - its flavor is very overpowering so at least for my tastes most drinks using it end up a bit similar.
Speaking of which, I remembered another one of these - the Americano is a “lighter” Negroni with less booze. I recommend adding way more than “a few dashes” of Soda Water though, I tend to go with 30ml or each ingredient in mine, pretty much like a traditional Negroni.
I definitely recommend a second try at an Old Fashioned, our tastes seem to have quite a bit of overlap and it’s by far the drink I make the most - just start with the the IBA recipe since most you find around the web add way too much sugar. Also, you may want to test different types of whisky, I prefer mine with Scotch instead of Bourbon, and I also suggest adding a couple drops of Orange Bitters if you have them.
Since you mentioned Sazerac I imagine you already have some Absinthe, so maybe try a Monkey Gland? It’s by far my favorite Gin drink, the balance between sweet (from the Grenadine) and sour/herbal (from the Absinthe) is fantastic.
A friend of mine who is a huge fan of Negroni also loves the Teresa. It’s an interesting one to taste since it feels very sweet at first due to the Cassis… but then the Campari hits and overpowers that with its sour flavor.
Comments from Google accounts on Twitter and Reddit say they are working on a fix.
Hey there, we’re aware of an emerging issue impacting Chromecast 2nd gen and Chromecast Audio devices and are working on a fix. Do not factory reset your device - we will keep you all updated when the fix rolls out. If you have already factory reset your device, we will provide instructions to set your device back up as soon as possible. Thank you for your patience.
Either saving on media costs (25GB disc instead of 100GB disc, maybe 1 disc instead of 2 if the game is too big), or even having more time to work on the game.
Developer makes sure the early stages are properly tested, send the disc for manufacturing including only those, use the manufacturing time to tweak/bugfix/optimize more stuff the rest of the game.
I haven’t heard of any disc game not being able to be played.
There’s a number of games that don’t come with the whole thing on disk/cart, usually including only the early stages and the rest needs to be downloaded.
Hogwarts Legacy and Jedi Survivor are two fairly recent examples.
The only question I have is what’s gonna happen as game discs are just becoming an access token to download the game and its updates.
That’s a big concern. There’s communities trying to document which games are complete on the media and can be played from start to end without updates (so no major game-breaking bugs or huge performance issues) like this one:
I’m also part of a FB group that collects cartridge information for Switch games, to document if there’s revisions with all updates included.

There’s also the problem that they’re clearly rushing this without much thought, they don’t even have an answer to the obvious question of “what happens to people in regions not supported by PSN”.

The developer is involved. Though it’s pretty obvious that the push for this is from Sony, they are the publisher for the game.
I haven’t gotten a Switch 2 (probably will when there’s more exclusive games), but I’m definitely going to avoid the Joycons as much as possible and just use my 8bitdo Ultimate and my old Pro Controller (which has been modded with Hall Effect sticks).
