₹240,000. That’s like less than $3,000 US.

It’s genuinely the best controller ever made for certain types of games. I find it very difficult to play FPS games without it (or the steamdeck) due to getting so used to gyro aiming with the capacitive touch sensors. My only real gripe with it is the subpar build quality. They’ve learned a lot since then in terms of hardware manufacturing so I can’t wait for them to put out a new steam controller.

I live near a big city on the east coast in a largely Blue state. I have 1 gig FiOS internet (up and down). In my area Comcast and Verizon compete for customers so our speeds here are alright. But there are plenty of areas in the US that have absolutely abysmal internet. Either because the area is rural so not much infrastructure has been built up or because the ISP in that area holds a monopoly on the market and doesn’t have to increase speeds to keep their customers. I’ve heard horror stories of people being stuck with like sub 10mbps because there are just no other options.

Assuming thats the case I don’t really see a problem here. I’ve never been able to download any applications at all on any work computer I’ve ever used short of apps the company itself uses.
Seems completely understandable to me to bar employees from using a competing service especially if there are genuine security concerns.
I used to work as a teller at a bank and at one point some higher up sent out an email to the branches talking about how great Chick Fil A’s customer service was and asking branch reps to brainstorm ways we could incorporate chick fil a’s policies into our own to improve the customer experience. I sent a long email explaining why I believed their customer service was insincere, overrated, and culty and why I believed it would be a bad idea to do anything to emulate their experience since people who come to banks don’t want to feel like theyre in a fast food restaurant.
A month later I had a raise and a new position in the customer service team. Sometimes speaking your mind can benefit you.
Though, quick disclaimer: I’m a cisgendered tall white dude. My experience is likely not indicative of someone else’s.

It’s not like Microsoft just started being terrible. They’ve been terrible for a real long time. Way before AI was a thing. This is just a symptom of Microsoft’s awfulness not a reason for it.

Yeah. I didn’t fully read the article lol. Thats on me.
Didn’t the commercial use unlicensed music too? I feel like I remember there being a lawsuit for unpaid royalties or something.
Edit: Yup!
Edit 2: I’m an idiot who didn’t fully read what I posted.

Not because they’re giving the game away so soon after release, but because they always say they’re giving the games away for free when they’re not. You have to have a PS+ account to play these. If you ever unsub you lose access to these games until you subscribe again. My library of games that I own should not be a subscription service. If you’re giving me a “free” game it should actually be free and not contigent upon a $70 yearly fee. Xbox used to do the same thing but you actually got to keep your games if you ever unsubscribed from live gold.

MeaanBeaan@lemmy.worldto No Stupid Questions@lemmy.world•What keeps Americans from being mad about the state of their country?8·5 months agoWho tf says we’re not mad? We’re fucking furious.
Everybody is saying this is politically motivated and I don’t really think I buy that. Not ruling out the possibility entirely, though. Anything is possible but the logic just doesn’t work out to me.
First, CBS paid Trump. Trump didn’t pay them. They already capitulated by paying him off. Why would they capitulate further by getting rid of the most popular late night program if it was profitable?
Second, if this was political why are they keeping the show on until May of next year? Wouldn’t trump want them to cancel it sooner?
Third, they’re canceling the late show entirely. If they were canceling it to get someone critical of trump out of there why wouldn’t they just replace colbert with someone more favorable to him?
Fourth, these shows have had declining ratings for years now and the writing has been on the wall for a long time that these shows were not going to be able to hang around for forever in today’s streaming climate. I think more cancelation announcements are likely.
As much as I hate trump and wouldn’t put something like this past him I really don’t think it’s likely that this has anything to do with him. Doing this for money reasons is fully in line with how terrible capitalism is for art and I can absolutely believe that this was some dumbfuck accounting decision.
