Yup, been in these and this is what I imagine when I hear “gender neutral bathroom” shared sink space and private stalls. Fully in support of this.

So stupid. There’s a good stand up bit that covers it - https://youtube.com/shorts/jrBlC3q0Fwo
On a different side of the coin, the virtue signaling also bothers me. I was at a fast casual restaurant and went to use the bathroom and the sign on the door said “Gender neutral bathroom” and I was like “oh word, that’s pretty progressive I like this place” and then I walked in and there’s one toilet and a sink and the door locks. Motherfucker, that’s just a bathroom. You don’t need to specify “gender neutral” when it’s a one-person bathroom. Fuck outa here.
Well they ain’t gonna brick my SreamDeck, so I say go for it Nintendo.
Not that I think this is acceptable behavior, but I’m okay with them pushing people away from their systems into using alternatives.
This is a self-own.
This is what Melee players look like on their way to the local tournament. Gotta get that venue discount for bringing your own setup.
They never should have shot that gorilla.

And in the corporate Windows world, it’s the Company Portal (essentially the inter-company App Store). I always have to type it out because I don’t like telling people to go to the CP.
Check out ep 140 of Darknet Diaries. There are some weird sickos out there with a lot of time on their hands.
Step 1 - Create a depression unlike we have ever seen and make people desperate for any job they can get.
Reminds me of something I read once. If you want to get out of work. Like you’re at work, and you really really don’t want to be there. You can get out with 4 words. You swallow your pride, walk into your bosses office, and proclaim “I shit my pants”
You will have the rest of the day off.
Really depends on what I am doing. Whatever I was previously doing has been been put on an indefinite pause until I can get new clothes and probably take a shower. But I have kids, so the day must go on.
But… But line. Line go up.
Youre telling me that exploiting the workers, making life horrible and expensive for the middle and lower class while giving tax breaks to the ultra wealthy makes the line not go up?
B… But line. Line go up!
Sounds like you need a third bin.
Never give up the dream.
I used to be really good at video games, but now I just don’t have the time. I remember being able to jump in any CS lobby and jump to the top of the server. I got kicked for supposedly cheating all the time. That was always a good feeling. Knowing that I’m kicking so much ass that people assume I must be cheating.
My crowning achievement is beating Super Ghouls and Ghosts - both times through (second time with the farie bracelet). This was using an original SNES, no save states or anything. Dedicated an entire summer of my teenage life to it. Game is hard, man.
Computers used to be a hobby but I turned that into a career. I’m a principal systems engineer and I like to think I’m good at what I do.
I got really into cooking, and it was maybe a hobby at some point, but now with a family it’s more of a necessity. A lot of the things I learned while cooking as a hobby turned into skills though. I’m not sure how to explain it, but like having cooking intuition. Knowing when to add more or less of something just by knowing. Also just being able to freestyle meals out of what is laying around or knowing what can be substituted with what or how to make ingredients out of other ingredients.
My thoughts exactly. If we could make solar panels more effective and cheaper in addition to having a way to store and quickly discharge that energy safely, we could power houses, cars, etc all without emission. Would love it if the batteries didn’t have short lives as well.
Theres some cool solid state battery tech on the horizon, but it always seems to be on the horizon and never actually showing up.
Why is nobody talking about how dirty that power strip is? And one of the plugs isn’t all the way seated. That thing poses more danger than Luigi.
This post has ~800 upvotes and ~150 comments. Lemme is doing great. It would be nice if the smaller communities were bigger, but there was a point on Reddit probably around 2015ish where it became too many people. I am enjoying this way more. Making a comment doesn’t feel like shouting into a crowd of shouting people the way that Reddit does. There is actual conversation.
