Or they’re working under the table at some farms for sub-minimum wage, propping up our domestic food industry on top of the subsidies the are already given.

There’s a pendulum, unfortunately it swung just a hair into blue while the country was in the middle of the second depression / first real global pandemic of the 21st century. The US may have recovered better than almost all countries on earth, but because it’s not better than when obama handed it off to dumpy, it’s the democrats fault.
It’ll swing back the other way, and once everything is stripped away we’ll be positioned to have a major change. That’s all I can hope for.
Unless elections are suspended, there’s absolutely no way such major changes where EVERYONE but the richest of the rich lose where the conservatives will stay in power. Imo the two worst things that the DNC has done was shutting out Bernie in place of Hillary, and then running fucking biden against dumpy. If they had put Bernie in 2016 then Trump would have lost hard. If they had offered up fresh blood with new ideas instead of an octogenarian clinging to the billionaire establishment with moderate conservative policy then they likely would have won this time.
Biden came in pretending to be not trump, but his stance on immigration, tariffs and many other topics are so disgusting it’s hard to see him (or his replacement) as anything other than a vote for the status quo… and the status quo right now is miserable.

The fact that so many idiots are falling in line with ignorant bullshit is just proof of how political advertising is insanely effective. The stance against vaccines is not a medical one - there is really zero debate there - it’s a political one based on feelings, surely a great way to handle medical conditions if you’re stupid, ignorant and incapable of even the most basic of critical thinking.
I would just use my desktop for that use case. There’s still a small minority of games that just don’t work via proton but it’s really a minority.
I’ve also seen a handful of games with linux builds that just don’t run properly because they update the game but don’t do enough QA to the linux build or simply don’t put resources towards linux issues to the same degree that windows gets.
A handful of games need slight nudges one way or another but overwhelmingly it just works. Way better than it was just a few years ago.
I just want all windows games to run on linux with equivalent performance and without anticheat hurdles. After that happens i’m done with windows.
Honestly, i’m really not that far off as-is. Steam Deck already runs most of my library, it’s just the games that don’t work with a controller that are a problem.

Musk can die in a fire, but self driving car tech seems to be vastly safer than human drivers when you do apples to apples comparisons. It’s like wearing a seatbelt, you certainly don’t need to have one to go from point A to point B, but you’re definitely safer with it - even if you are giving up a little control. Like a seatbelt, you can always take it off.

If you can’t win an election legitimately because the educated see through your bullshit, do illegal things that cannot be tracked or that is “legal” just despicable, like deregister non-republican voters and make sure your planted vote counters make sure they all seem to show up R or aren’t counted because they are “fraudulent” - because the watchers are all your people there’s nothing to be done to challenge it.
these are the same people who have been accusing every single democrat ever of fraudulent things by any means necessary. They’ve wanted to impeach biden for “fraud” but can’t find any wrongdoing. They are also the people who attempted to create fake electoral votes to seize power after losing the popular vote.
It’s pretty sad the legal system is bought and paid for by billionaires who have no interest in allowing the courts to actually follow the law unless it results in lower taxes and higher subsidies for them. If the judges actually did their jobs a lot more people would be in jail for election interference.

If anything it called out how toxic ignorance and stupidity can be in the presence of someone who just wants to do the right thing. I don’t think the oligarchs really believe that trump has any real chance to pull off anything. The judges aren’t in trump’s pocket, they are in the oligarch’s. As long as trump is useful and doing what they want the billionaires will support him. Once his election falls through he will be abandoned unless he somehow retains political clout and can direct someone else on their behalf.

I don’t believe for a second that an intelligent criminal would be carrying around all this evidence that links them to a crime days later. He would have dumped the ghost gun immediately. It’s way too convenient that the guy has absolutely every bit of evidence on his person at the time of arrest and that it’s so specific to the crime and nothing else.
