Too young. Most facebook users are actually boomers nowadays.
That’s a generational thing. 99% of my friends and people of my age I know have never had Facebook. Instagram, however…
As someone who has never heard of that: What would have been its advantages over Lemmy?
Wow, Signal is end-to-end encrypted and secure, now switching to some random service that stores all their message is mindblowingly stupid
But… they can’t access the microphone without the user explicitly allowing
Then… that’s so fucking weird, why would someone make that issue? I genuinely lack the understanding for how this could have happened in that case.
I mean, even if it’s annoying someone obviously used AI, they probably still have that problem and just suck at communicating that themselves
I‘d say Aliexpress is still one credibility layer above Temu, Shein and wish
But I like gpg more :(
I do see that point of view, but honestly, I think it’s totally valid and understandable to point this out whenever they’re mentioned.
Context? Who’s that and what does he have to do with this post?
Friends hate this one simple trick!
Why wouldn’t they?
I directly noticed that the background color got brighter and looked in this community to see whether a post like this got published. I mean, congrats on the new update I guess but I liked the darker dark mode more 😔
Yeah, but that… doesn’t really matter. So it doesn’t really make sense to post that here, especially with that headline.

I understand that you find it infuriating, but it’s not something completely uncommon, even in high end projects :/
Is this seriously you that happened this to or are you just sharing some random screenshots?
If this is really you, I’d genuinely ask them. Like, why they are doing this to you, where they know you from. This might give you some insight on who they are, where they know your from and their motivations (which can help you if you want to go to the police).
If you just block you without interacting, of course they want to continue trying to get responses, but if you understand it, you might get some usable information and see why they act like that.
That’s not the point. Obviously everyone recognizes and knows this, but it still changes something about your impression subconsciously, even if you think it doesn’t affect you.
Actually, fair point. While the Anthropic judge case is awful for artists and such, it is actually a great thing for libraries and especially the internet archive, which has faced heavy pressure in the last years.
It’s really ironic that the public good library that has been facing heavy pressure from giant corporations is now… being saved by other giant cooperations which are now deemed more important
