  • Or maybe costs suddenly increased and people had no time to adjust to their new means. “Living beyond your means” is such a dumb phrase in this context. It puts the onus on individuals instead of things like inflation, price gouging, tariffs and costs of living. I guess everyone should be living in one bedroom apartments and eating rice and beans everyday so they live within their means(this is hyperbole). People don’t deserve any luxury just the bare minimum to live and keep working for their overlords.

  • Do you think these companies can just snap their fingers and suddenly start producing stuff locally?

And even if they could, why would they? In three years another guy comes in the White House and the tariffs are gone. Also why would they produce locally when they could just raise prices and shift the expense to the consumers, maybe a bit more so they can even get a little extra.

Also what are you gonna do about it? Get your toothpaste from a different company? Good one, they bought out all the others and the ones they didn’t buy out are just gonna rise prices too because they’re not gonna leave money on the table. Don’t you love unregulated capitalism?

  • The biggest fear I have about this is that even after this is all over there will be no justice for these people.

If Democrats win they will mumble something about “political unity” or how it’s “time to heal” or some equally vapid shit and move on. There will be no Nuremberg trials for these fascists and this will all be added to the list of American atrocities that conservatives like to rail against being taught such as the Trail of Tears, slavery, segregation, Gaza genocide, Japanese internment and so on. To quote the fascist in charge: “when you’re famous(powerful) they let you do it”.

I would love to be proven wrong but the historical track record is not making this look likely.

  • I did it like 10 or so years back? It was pretty easy to be completely honest and didn’t require too many resources, at least not if you’re the only one using the server. You just run the server locally and then use the client to connect to that server. That’s basically it.

And no, the game comes with all the quests and everything, you don’t need to really do anything else. The downsides is that you’ll be locked out of a bunch of content like dungeons and raids since those require groups of 5 or more players.

  • There’s nothing wrong with not feeling some life changing experience when holding your child. Some people do, some don’t and it is a bit overplayed by people.

Taking care of a baby is hard work and tiring. It can be overwhelming for first time parents and I recommend you talk with your wife about it and look into sharing the workload better so you can both get some time for yourselves, you could also ask your mother or other family members to help watch the kid so you and your wife can get a night out and relax. It will help a lot.

As for the other feelings I would honestly advise you to look into getting some professional help if possible. You can talk to your GP about it and they they can advise you on what to do or recommend you to specialized help.

But yea, hang in there, it gets better and as the kid grows they will be able to take care of themselves more and your workload will get lower. Though I have to warn you that if you build resentment for them they will pick it up at some point and they will be crushed. It shatters my heart to see kid suffer like that.
