help people install Linux and set it up - show them how to use it. I’ve considered doing the same. I’d do the first ten installs and lessons for free just to get experience and referrals. I suppose you could buy good laptops cheaply online, load them up, make videos on YT, removedute, Odysee, etc. on how the system YOU set up works. Most of that has very little upfront costs. Are you being replaced by overseas tech support and/or cheap local imported labor?

I disagree about telling an employer about instability in your life. they simply won’t take be understanding.

I am not homeless, but rent a room in a shared house. I prefer ethernet connections, but my landlord wouldn’t allow it and even removed the ethernet wall plug from an empty bedroom where I used it for 10 minutes to set up a raspberry pi. It wasn’t you, but the ethernet requirement.

Many of us fear feeling too deeply. I’d guess that is why so many of us escape into things that take us away from reality: soap operas/entertainment TV; drugs, alcohol, other addictions such as promiscuous sex that could hurt us, gambling, compulsive shopping that ruins our finances, etc. An online friend introduced me to vippassanna and sent me a wonderful poetic one-page article about it (lost it) and that helped a lot. Taoism and stoicism has similar teachings or thinking. It helps.
