Children don’t always leave to form new households in China. It’s common, especially for unmarried children, to continue to live with their parents after they’ve grown into adults.

Sorry, I forgot the dev added that feature. It’s annoying that the app didn’t ask me before adding the redirect to the link
Here is a post discussing this

Grants often cover research, including equipment and salary for student researchers. So it might be that they pivot away from any science or medical field, which certainly seems like a desirable outcome for this administration.
My wage for peer tutoring at my university was also grant funded, although that program (TRIO) has essentially been destroyed by Trump at this point.
It doesn’t have the head or body shape of a pit viper. Also, green pits are not native to the Americas, not that this means much anymore with the exotic animal trade sometimes resulting in non-native pets released into the wild
So if we are too sick to leave the house to find work, we’ll be SOL?
One of my professors had an AI policy. Using AI for an outline or to find resources was okay, as long as it was cited with the exact prompt used. I think having rules for how to use AI on her assignments actually cut down on use compared to professors who outright banned it.
He also thinks he’s the only one who can bring peace because he was nominated for the Nobel Peace prize. He’s still chasing that high
When I was a kid there was a big lawsuit about a brain dead woman whose husband wanted to take her off life support, but her parents didn’t. Fifteen years passed from the time she went into a coma to when she was finally allowed to die.
That was only twenty years ago
Right? Most kids are easily influenced, that’s a big part of being a child. The fact that this dude had no interest in being in Guy’s life probably had the highest influence on how he developed. Because the “I didn’t choose to be born” line says more about his parents than him, I feel
Maybe, but a couple months ago Trump made an executive order about reducing the cost of IVF. I’m sure some of that is Musk’s influence, because AFAIK all of his kids are IVF babies
It helps to have a “script” for interactions. Small talk is often the same formula of topics repeated in different situations. Learn to ask questions, but have answers to those same questions ready if you are asked. Don’t get too personal or deep with it, small talk is meant to be pleasant but shallow.
Oh boy. I totally skipped over the white part lol.
I agree with you. I guess some of what I said will hold true for white Americans, but may be more generically Southern than white
I grew up in the south.
Sunday dress was a thing. Modern day, it may not have been as special because you didn’t wear the same two outfits all year. But it’s still different from funeral and wedding attire.
Sunday meals were special too. Maybe we didn’t always go out for food after church, but guarantee there was BBQ involved. If not BBQ, then fried, and/or with a salad filled with carbs and mayo.
Uh, speaking of Sunday, you could say being a Christian is a big cultural thing. My family rebelled a bit, we were Catholic.
Don’t bother Daddy while he’s watching his sports. Don’t put more work on mommy (no dirty clothes, keep your shoes clean). Mowing the lawn takes all day because we live in the boonies (or you don’t have a lawn because you live in a triplex).
All holidays are Christian. And you spend them with extended family.
Cardamom bitters are the best. I put them in lots of drinks, and sometimes just sparkling or tonic water lol
But yeah, looking at the ingredients the vanilla seems a little out of place. Do you think it would be better with simple syrup?
The crazy thing about using that act is that I hadn’t heard of Venezuelan migrants specifically being criminal masterminds or even Tren de Aragua until Trump was in office this year. Just like I hadn’t heard much about ms13 until Trump’s first term. (I had heard of them but not nearly as much as after he talked about them in a speech)
So how can he declare Venezuela an enemy if the actions he was focusing on weren’t even national news until he pushed the narrative?
Privacy has been a big issue upheld by courts in Montana. Recently an anti-trans law failed because parents made a point to say they were losing the freedom to make decisions for their children. I don’t know where the republican brains went with that, but that law completely floundered when it came time to vote.
I judge the Gadsden flag when I see it on vehicles (MT is the only “northern” state that has a license plate with it), but people in Montana generally do care about privacy much more than than hurting the outgroup

I live in what should be a prairie, but it’s just hundreds of miles of farmland now. I drove five hours yesterday, and my car is still clean. It’s absolutely horrific.
I am a biology major with a focus on ecology, and sometimes I regret choosing this academic path. I have taken some ag classes, the ag majors here are multi-generational ranchers and farmers. The disregard for the damage they are doing to the environment and the way they mock advances in ag that preserve life beyond their fences is so discouraging.
