Doesn’t sound like he got away.

Dhar@lemmy.cato Mildly Infuriating@lemmy.world•Amazon: The same 31 products you don't want, again and again and again and again and again and again and again and again and againEnglish1·6 months agoInteresting. That may be cheaper for you, but once I convert currencies and count shipping, that item costs a little over $1 more from Ali. And then the shipping is likely going to take 1-2 months. For me, it’s cheaper and faster to order that item from Amazon.

Dhar@lemmy.cato Technology@lemmy.world•Plex is overhauling its apps with a redesign and under-the-hood upgradesEnglish1·7 months agoHmm, I’m not sure that’s the case here. I tried this with two different browsers (Firefox & Chrome) on two different computers, plus the native client on an Android phone, Android TV, and Android tablet, with various server settings - none of them worked.
Dhar@lemmy.cato Technology@lemmy.world•Plex is overhauling its apps with a redesign and under-the-hood upgradesEnglish21·7 months agoYep. I’m guessing it insists on transcoding the video but doesn’t have the horsepower. Plex either has a superior transcoder or detects it doesn’t need to transcode it.
Dhar@lemmy.cato Technology@lemmy.world•Plex is overhauling its apps with a redesign and under-the-hood upgradesEnglish83·7 months agoFor me, Plex works great on my Synology while Jellyfin is completely unusable - video payback simply crashes. Running Jellyfin on my desktop machine gets it to work, but it takes over 24 hours to scan my media library and doesn’t automatically add new media when I add new files.
