I was suspicious of that as well, but I’m not knowledgeable enough on that subject to speak on it, so didn’t include it. But I doubt any country can build that extensive of a nuclear factory in so few years.

That’s what they want you to think, but we have no evidence to either direction. And I doubt we will ever have a definitive answer.
Holy nothing burger, Batman!
First off, this article is from 2022, re-released to farm clicks from the current hype cycle.
Secondly, this is conjecture on top of conjecture. They discuss that we can’t know the current damage from satellite, and Iran down plays the damage. Then they go on to say “concrete is strong and can be stronger”.
Articles like this annoy me. It’s all based on lots of unsubstantiated claims, and then one guy’s theoretical research. We don’t know the strength of the bombs. We don’t know the strength of Iran’s bunkers. We don’t know how much damage was done. None of this has changed. I doubt we’ll ever really know. But throw whatever political spin on it you want, and now you’ve got a click worthy news article.
I recall seeing a lot of posts on here praising the leadership whenever they said anything negative about Trump
But that’s about the only stuff positive about Iran I’ve seen on here.
That’s kinda what I’m getting at. This isn’t R vs D, and further perpetuating that is lending into the division of the country that the powers that be want.
This is class war, always has been. Police are the arm wielding power of the rich, used to push down the working class.
Would be much appreciated if you could have a word with your people about this.
I’m an American, but my only experience with LA was traveling through for 2 days about 10 years ago. AKA no experience with LA.
This action appears to be originated from LAPD and therefore the local LA government. I have always considered LA to be deeply blue, and would therefore think that their local LA government would be Democrat, not Republican.
So should this not be the local blue voting populace having a word with their blue elected politicians?
Even prior to the current political climate, police overreach in hospitals has happened multiple times. Usually involves police arresting a nurse/doctor for not doing what the police want (even if the medical staff are in the right). Medical staff loses pay for the day, patient harm does happen because of involuntary abandonment, and no punishment is metered for the police.
So yeah, doctors and nurses are quite helpless here.
Could ICE be liable for death or injury incurred from deporting a citizen?
Yes, but only if the court will uphold the law. And at that point, the punitive measures can’t bring back life or brain function.
That’s a bingo.
Since they’re probably chronically overworked, they’re probably unhappy about it. And getting people floated to them who don’t want to do work is a common issue with those kinds of units.
I’m a very nonconfrontational person, but if someone called to interrupt whatever I was doing to ask “I want to know how much I have to work” tomorrow, I wouldn’t be happy.
cars will need to use buttons, dials, or stalks for hazard warning lights, indicators, windscreen wipers, SOS calls, and the horn.
Not enough, in my opinion. I’ve never had a car with these on touch screens, but I can’t imagine why anyone would think it’s a good idea. I’d like entertainment centers to stop being touch screens as well, but this doesn’t go that far. Hopefully they do in the future, though, since this is a good start!
Congress says
Congress is concerned
Congress warns
It is literally your job to prevent these concerns. Stop talking and do something. The old fucks who refuse to leave office have been collecting paychecks while sitting back and doing nothing, progressively giving away their power to the executive branch for the past ~20 years. Now they’re concerned? Too little, too late. Either step up (but watch out for broken hips) or get out of the way.
Did any of you read the article, or did you just read the headline and jump to push anti-trump propaganda?
I dislike stripping down ATCs, who are already overworked. But this ain’t related to that. This was a PPL crash on an uncontrolled airstrip. I struggle to imagine how this is Trump’s fault.
Next House Hearing: Hearing not scheduled Calendar: Bill currently not on a House calendar
But it hasn’t even hit the house. This is the American legislative process. Any bill can be introduced and read. It takes a lot to be placed on the calendar, but even then doesn’t guarantee any chance at passing. So no, this is literally no further than “the musings of a Canadian backbencher who spouts his stupid opinions”.
Yeah, I was trying to find something like that to back up my point. Article, AFI, SecDec report, Pentagon statement, etc, but couldn’t find anything. There’s someone else in the thread who posted some pictures of these teams without nametapes, but that’s not much stronger evidence than my word.
Hell or High Water. Fantastic utilization of visuals combined with smooth and enjoyable music. Love the whole trilogy, but this is my favorite of them.
The practice originates from prisoner movement during our global war on terror. It was due to concern over domestic operatives targeting armed forces members, which is not new. The linked story is an example of this being used to instill fear.
While I don’t think this equates at all for simple deportation flights, this seems to be the underlying justification for the above tactic, be it to prevent retaliation or “making an example” to scare away further attempts at deportation.
Again, I didn’t think this concern is nearly as founded as it was during global war on terrorism, but this is what I think is the justification.
That’s the general idea, yes.
That explains it, thank you!
Wouldn’t it not be so different, since I’m not part of the official organization? Just tangential?
I’m not very good with history. I know the broad strokes, but I’ve forgotten a lot of this kind of history. It hasn’t been relevant in my line of work, so doesn’t get easily remembered.
That link does explain the reference, though, thank you!
That is literally not an option for a very large majority of these service members. That’ll be an Article 15 for sure, maybe a courtmartial.
I can’t speak to that aspect. But I firmly believe that if our military planned and carried out this strike, then we had very good evidence that their bunkers were at a depth these ordinance could reach.
