And now we know that you can’t (or won’t) read. That’s ok. But I do think that we’ve exhausted the possibilities of this conversation.
Fuck off. Stop assuming that you know anything about me, foolish asshole.
Now that the BLUF is out of the way, and I know that you’ve read and understood my comment, I’ll do you a solid to show that there are no hard feelings. You’re blocked.
My “opinion” is not wrong. It is scientific fact. Adolescent development is an area of my professional study.
Are there abused children in the world? Yes. Are their brains well-enough developed to make any lifelong decisions? No. That doesn’t mean that they don’t deserve help. It does mean that they are not mature enough to understand the ramifications of a no-contact decision.
I don’t wanna sound condescending, but please base your own opinions in fact.
It isn’t really. But you are, of course, entitled to your opinion.
With respect, 16 year old brains are not physically developed enough to make that decision. It’s why we don’t let them vote.
Things may look different today. I stand by my suggestion.
Maybe cut him some slack? A lot can happen in 20 years.
Not defending pedophiles, but there was a time when 13 was considered adult. It’s still legal for teenagers to marry in most countries.
Anything can be taken out of context.
It really kind of does. If the author is so ashamed of the work that they won’t sign it, that speaks volumes.
An anonymous hit job that reads like it was written by Ehmke. We should give this any credence because…?
She has a mind? I was considering studying her as an example of the Void.

Sounds like Spaz is about to have another Numbnuts Moment.
Apparently, it isn’t about FOSS. It’s about trademark infringement.
I’d feel worse if they didn’t so richly deserve it.
The Zenkit suite may do what you want. I started using it when M$ applied E3 to Wunderlist
For once, I hope Verizon wins
Those records are already protected by HIPAA, aren’t they? And Texas state courts have no jurisdiction outside the state of Texas. What’s he trying to do? Remind independents and moderate Republicans to vote for Harris?
To answer the question, I very much prefer fountain pens. They’re much more economical in the long run, they write smoother and are less prone to clogging, and the different inks are just fun.
To the point about carbons: Not many situations require carbon copies these days. For those that do, you can usually pick up a vintage (not a modern) Esterbrook for a reasonable price and replace the nib. Esterbrook had a couple dozen different nibs, some specifically hardened for writing carbon copies. They’re also fairly easy to find.
There may be some modern pens that are good for writing carbons. Check Goulet Pens or some of the other online sellers.
NB: If you go for an Esterbrook, definitely look for the antiques. They may require a bit of maintenance, but they still write beautifully. The modern ones are made by some outfit that purchased the company name for overpriced branding, but they have no connection to the originals.
I admit that I have all alerts deactivated for the simple reason that our local agencies can’t seem to use SAME codes and I get tired of waking in the middle of the night for a thunderstorm three counties over.
Psychology, in particular, has a replication problem. Admittedly part of the reason is that no modern IRB would approve something like the Stanford experiment. But part of it, too, as you suggest, is down to rigged studies or other shoddy “science.”
It isn’t confined to social sciences. Dr John Mandrola routinely takes medicine to task for letting pharmaceutical companies run poorly-designed trials then cherry pick and spin the results for profit.
