Idk what novel they’re thinking of, but It Can’t Happen Here by Sinclair Lewis pretty closely predicted how things are currently going down. Fictional novel written around WWII about how what happened in Germany with the rise of Hitler could happen in the US.
Yo! I’ve been wondering the same thing! I saw those all over Greece and they’re wild. Thought they were like cannabis shops or something lol.
I agree, I bought them on sale a while back
suite of problems
Lol not sure if this is a joke or a typo
Video scalers my dude. Proprietary yes, but Chinese is questionable. Crestron, Extron, QSC, all major video products based out of the US, tho I believe only Crestron manufacturers in the US.
Fair enough
I mean, by people I think you mean people with money. People dress appropriate to their station. People then doing manual labor couldn’t afford clothes like the dude in the post and wouldn’t have wasted money on clothes that weren’t durable and easily cleaned.
T-shirt and jeans became the standard due to their cheap cost to manufacture, durability, and standardized sizes and popularity in the mining, farming, and railroad industry, and again with WWII.
Not a lot of jobs these days that allow for fancy dress and not many people can afford their own tailor. Not to mention temperatures were much cooler back then allowing all those extra layers, where as now you’d melt in some parts.
They do make HDMIs with locking screws, but no one really uses them as very few products have the screw holes for them.
Normal enough I deal with it on 2 separate machines. One new and store bought, unmolested by IT lockdown bs, and the other I built and use really just for gaming. Idk man. I just feel like Windows has gotten worse and worse and I’m thinking of hopping back to Linux now that gaming is more accessible on it thanks to Proton, but I can’t completely get away from windows.
It doesn’t. I bought it with a company credit card and I don’t let IT touch it. I gotta do a lot of stuff in the field so I don’t have time to call IT every time I need to install a software update update.
The File Explorer behavior is something I’ve been noticing lately. I do have a number of cloud accounts connected for work, 2 One Drive, 1 dropbox, with a shit ton of files and folders (most not sync’d locally) and I wonder if File Explorer is looking through those when it opens.
Idk man. I have a brand new laptop my work got me and I notice it. Windows is just plain bad now. It’s like I go to save a file and the file browser window opens and I’m stuck sitting there waiting for minutes. It’s like I’m suddenly 10 again when you’d turn on your pc, go make breakfast, come back and hope your PC finished booting. Does it both on my work laptop running 11 and my PC at home running 10.
Horses however only require grass, hay, etc, are self driving to an extent and can return home if needed, and have less environment impact than a car.
I’d add to this and say you need:
A Usenet client such as SabNZBD (like qbittorrent or similar downloading client, but for Usenet)
A Usenet provider such as Astraweb, Newshosting, UsenetServer, Easynews, etc (or a paid subscription giving you access to a number of servers, kind of like a private torrent site)
And a tracker or indexer such as NZBGeek, NZB Finder, omgwtfnzbs, DrunkenSlug, etc (similar to a library index that helps you find what you want in the sea of information)
You can set services like these up with programs that use these tools to pull what you want automatically, such as the Arrs (Sonarr, Radarr, Lidarr, etc) or you can manually search either the provider directly through their own search engine, or through an indexer’s refined search engine.
Well and the month they’re talking about happens to be November. Gee, I wonder why so many Americans were making purchases in November.
Turns out it translates to REPLICA
Yes
He just needs 4 years, and he promises he’ll get to it next term. /s
