Thank you everyone for the very nice thread yesterday, most of you seem to have a nice week-end! To continue on this vibe, what are some nice Lemmy communities you enjoy contributing to?

[email protected] is a laid back community for Europeans. The main idea is to keep away from the news (those are mostly on [email protected] ) and focus more on history, culture, questions to people, etc.

For communities for centered around people and living

    • [email protected] not that active, but people there are nice, I guess most of them are enjoying their lives
    • [email protected] for parents. I’m always surprised it’s not more active, I guess most of the parents are still on Reddit?
    • [email protected] for, well, men over 30
    • [email protected] for people interested in money management

There’s a few parenting focused ones that have popped up. Namely [email protected] and [email protected]. I wonder if it’s just a case of having a relatively small pool of people spread out across multiple communities?

    For movies and tv shows

    • [email protected] gets new activity thanks to the upcoming TV adaptation
    • [email protected] for fans of the Office
    • [email protected] used to be more active, but is now a bit quiet as the season ended
    • [email protected] always has some nice activity

Last but not least, I started a new more “structured” discussion community for movies and TV shows, trying to have the same vibe as in !casualconversation: [email protected]. The objective is really to center the community around discussions rather than news, feel free to have a look!

That starwars community is dead, Jim. It’s [email protected] that has the activity.

Thanks for sharing! Those seem valuable resources to prepare for CS interviews, you can probably suggest them as answers to a question in [email protected]
