Inflation has risen in three of the last four months and is slightly higher than it was a year ago. Yet you wouldn’t know it from listening to President Donald Trump or even some of the inflation fighters at the Federal Reserve who have dismissed or even downplayed inflation.
They see “I have a lot of money” as “I know how to handle money”, instead of “I know how to take advantage of people”.
The only reason these people have so much money is because they are either underpaying their employees, or overcharging their customers. That gets the ball rolling.
Nobody got rich by being fair. Nobody. Not billionaire rich. Not halfway to a trillion dollars rich. They got that money by taking it from others, or getting people to give it to them willingly.
If you’re lucky you might get to be a millionaire by working hard and playing by the rules. Maybe. Plenty of six-figure jobs out there that can net you a million in a decade, and if you live within your means, and have no unexpected large bills (unlikely), you might have a million saved in two.
But a millionaire isn’t even rich anymore. Any boomer that bought a house in a HCOL area in the 80s/90s and has it paid off is most the way to a “millionaire” now as it is.
But working hard and playing by the rules isn’t for them. They want some get rich quick scheme where they can sit back and watch the money roll in. They all feel that they are owed that because they are a straight white male, and it’s the _____s fault that it never works.
Billionaires should not be worshipped. Not even Tay-tay.
Now we, as a society invest in a handful of incredibly greedy people, instead of investing in public works, social programs, infrastructure, education, etc. And what do we have for it? Everything is in shambles, and everything is controlled by that same handful of greedy sleazeballs.
And what do they do with that control? They tell us to worship them, and everything bad that happens to you is the fault of the _____s.
“I’ve taken your money.”
“Fuckin’ genius.”
Exactly. It is absolutely impossible for a person to have $1 billion and not be an absolute terrible person underneath it all. Have you seen her ticket prices? She doesn’t need to do that.
Ask Pearl Jam how trying to take control of their ticket prices worked.
Taylor could give each of her fans 90% of a ticket price (face value, at least) for tagging her in a selfie from the seat on Instagram. If she wanted to.
Yeah. The venues kinda have the talent by the balls. Especially since Live Nation controls just about every major venue. The costs of her tickets wasn’t even a consideration for me.
It’s more about how she greenwashes herself, for lack of a better term, by making donations to local food pantries and paying her entourage well. Cool. She’s still got billions, several homes she leaves vacant, etc. After she leaves the food pantry sits around waiting for the next windfall and the staff…is just making a decent salary at the end of the day.
She hangs out with Magats, her “philanthropy” is just good PR, shes a right winger deep down.
i was following ytuber once, that discussed this, its when you hit 10+mil worth, you start to become greedier, and develop those tendacies of the billionaire. minus the people who already born wealthy or inherited significant wealth.
