The most recent one had to do with a drug I took in Disco Elysium - wanted to see if it actually exists.

Not sure about the second most recent anymore.

In university, I had learned about proto-indoeuropean and wanted to see if there’s a common language ancestor for African language. Turns out there are several origin languages.

And the last two have to do with my SLP apprenticeship. Both are concepts learned about in voice therapy and the latter is also a concept learned about with singers

  • I get that - it was the same thing for me. It’s barely noticeable, though, unless you’re very familiar with the novel and the Disney adaptation. It’s a very tasteful homage to the novel by Carlo Collodi, but you don’t need to have read the novel to appreciate the game for what it is. It’s essentially Bloodborne 2 for what it’s worth. Truly amazing game.

Might just be a tad biased :D But if you keep an open mind about it and that’s all that’s keeping you from giving it a try, I promise you - you won’t regret trying it. There should still be a demo for the game if you’re up for it. :)

That’s awful - I’m sorry you had to experience that.

Yea absolutely, it’s just a normal bodily reaction. I’d be lying if I said I don’t notice it when women/female-presenting people don’t wear a bra, but there really is nothing to it. I moreso welcome it because I feel like it’s a way for them to reclaim the stigmatisation that comes with “revealing” their bodies. Of course without blatantly pointing to it - who am I to comment such a thing?

Thank you, I’m trying my best :). I guess such comments and analogies are a product of their time and should be left there. I feel like we’ve made so much progress collectively as a society, with exceptions proving the rule, that such comments, derogatory or demeaning language in general, don’t usually show up that much in daily conversation and shouldn’t overall. Then again, my view is likely skewed because I’m barely around men and most people I am around are also very much left-leaning just like I am, so the language we use is very considerate and thought out, if that makes sense.

Now that I talk of it, a thing that’s been grinding my gears recently is that so many people on here seem to be ok with using the r-word in regular conversation. “R-word” this and “that’s so r-word of you” that - like, why? It’s just so unnecessary. Same goes for the f-word (gay slur). I thought we’ve been past this already?

It’s so sad to see. I’ve spent way more time listening to the soundtrack than playing, I’ve listened to it working out, I’ve listened to it at work, I listen to it when commuting - his work is just amazing. All that lost because a higher-up fucked up and didn’t care enough to mend the relationship. Whilst straight up lying about the events of what really happened on reddit, of all places.
