They’ve been cramming random stuff in that though that’s making it more laggy. Recently switched to Zed and it’s so much faster.
This is pretty cool!
GreenSofaBed@lemmy.zipto Technology@lemmy.world•Amazon will “ramp up” Prime Video ads in 2025English5·10 months agoAnd they’ve already ramped it up quite a bit. Been watching a show for couple of months, used to be one ad per episode, which I could handle, now it’s like every 10 minutes. So I’ve already cancelled and found the show using other ways.

It’s just good there are some different options, maybe the UI is better, better tech stack, more responsive dev, who knows.
GreenSofaBed@lemmy.zipto Ask Lemmy@lemmy.world•Why are so many people so fixated on Lemmy's growth?51·1 year agoFor example the Formula 1 live threads during a race has like 10 comments on Lemmy, while on Reddit it’s in the thousands. Just wish some communities were a bit more popular.

Lemmy. Though I do check out the live formula 1 race thread on Reddit when there’s a race on. There is also one on lemmy, but it’s pretty dead.
I switch back and forth between DDG and Perplexity. When I quickly want to look something up I find Perplexity quite helpful, just get the answer without filtering through search results.

I’ve got an older MacBook Pro with i7 and 32gb ram and I can barely use Jira it’s so laggy and slow to do anything. M2 Max is probably it’s minimum requirement, it’s so god damn shit.
